One of the most exciting and dynamic weekends TRYCE has ever experienced.

To be able to watch the weekend develop from the ideas of 17 students over a four month period is all I need to confirm the statement, “God is good all the time.”  The YOUTH led the mixer games as folks trickled in from all over the Presbytery.  The YOUTH led the energizers and music that led into our Keynote given by, the always engaging Caressa Murray.  The YOUTH led the participants in small groups where they played games and discussed the YOUTH developed theme “Clay-Doh.”

Taken from Jeremiah 18:6, Caressa spoke of how God is the potter and we are the clay.  We are always being re-created.  He makes us, molds us, fills us and uses us.  We can even be recycled and re-used.  We are all different and wonderfully made having different talents and gifts to be shared with the world.  And, at all times, we give God the glory.

What makes this event unique, compared to other events across the nation, is that the leadership is youth driven.  This Presbytery should hold it’s head high for having active leadership roles for the youth that may in turn one day be leading the Church.  With that being said, the future looks very bright after TRYCE 2009.

Many thanks to the Youth Task Force for all their hard work, to Caressa Murray for developing and organizing a powerful and meaningful message, to the participants and sponsors, and especially Prude Ranch for allowing us the use of their wonderful facilities.
