The 2010 Presbyterian Youth Triennium, an international event for high school young people, will be held July 20 – 24, 2010 at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. The theme is “For Such A Time As This”. The theme will be developed throughout the week through daily presentations, workshops, recreation and small groups. It is a terrific week for our church and our young people. Approximately 7000 youth and adults are expected to attend. Tres Rios Presbytery has been allotted 40 spots (youth and adults).
If you have a young person who would like to attend this event, please fill out the enclosed form. Youth participants must be entering high school and no older than 19 years old on July 20, 2010. Adult advisors must be at least 21 years old on July 20, 2010.
Completed forms are due in the presbytery office February 1, 2010 but slots will fill fast so send in your applications forms NOW!
Please note the following information as you make your selection:
· The event begins with dinner on Tuesday, July 20th and ends with worship on the 24th.
· Estimated registration cost per person is $410 which includes housing, meals, conference T-Shirt and all programming. Congregations are encouraged to pay ˝ of the registration cost for each participant. Presbytery will pay the transportation costs.
· Selections from the applications submitted will be done after February 1, 2010. Youth will be notified then if they were selected to participate and be given registration forms and more information.

Youth Triennium
The young person must be:
21 years old on July 20, 2010.
·
A member of the Presbyterian Church that nominated him/her.
·
A regular attendee at worship and in the youth ministry
program of his/her church.
·
A good representative of your church in the larger church.
·
Willing to participate in the total program and activities
of the 2010 Youth Triennium.
·
Able to live in a community of about 40 (Tres Rios
Delegation) and 7000 (Triennium Event).
·
Experienced with and/or knowledge of the larger church in
the Presbyterian Church (USA).
