Submit a prayer concern

January 22-28, 2012
Trinity, El Paso - We would ask that the presbytery pray for our congregation as we seek to minister to each other and the surrounding community.  Ask God to help us find ways to encourage members to use their unique talents so that we can care for each other and reach out to those around us and share the good news.

January 29 – February 4, 2012
First, Marfa
– We are a small, faithful, older congregation who are seeking renewal of our ministry in a changing community of diverse backgrounds and an increasing number of seasonal residents.  Please pray with us as we act to respond to the opportunities and challenges the Lord is opening to us.

February 5-11, 2012
Project Vida
– You call us to compassion and care, to consciousness of  the needs of our world.  Teach us to delight in the variety embedded in the creation God gives.  Help us to build systems of support and nurture for our communities.  Show us how to engage in responsible action for God and neighbor.  We pray for the work of  Project Vida as one concrete sign of our common stewardship.  Amen.

February 12-18, 2012
Trinity, Midland -  2 Corinthians 3:2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, to  be known and read by all;  3:3 and you show that you are a letter of Christ, prepared by  us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living  God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.  3:4 Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward  God.   Almighty God, may your churches be filled with countless letters penned in your love, ready to be sent into the world, whose stories stir our hearts and inspire our imaginations toward hope, joy, peace, and faithfulness.  Amen.

February 19-25, 2012
First, Fort Davis
- We are growing!  Our church is growing in spirit, in program and in number.  Please pray that our growth might continue, that we will be able to keep up with the financial obligations of such growth, and that Christ will be glorified in all that we do!

February 26 – March 3, 2012
Grace, Midland
- We are excited about what God is doing in our midst.  Please pray for us as we continue to grow into a church where folks want to be; a church that exudes the welcoming, loving spirit of Christ; a church that worships with spirit and joy; a church that shows it cares by touching the surrounding community with excitement, compassion and the love of Jesus Christ.  We are grateful for several new babies in our congregation and look forward to putting our newly renovated nurseries and children’s classrooms to use as we nurture these little ones in the faith.  We ask for prayers particularly for our involvement with the Midland Chin Christian Fellowship, a congregation of Burmese refugees that also worships in our building, and for their new pastor.

March 4-10, 2012
First, Seminole
– Pray for our church as we answer God's call to provide ministry to our communities of Seminole and Seagraves.

March 11 – 17, 2012
Westminster, Odessa
- Please pray for Westminster as we minister to our children, youth and adults so that they in turn will share the Good News of Jesus Christ with others in the Odessa community and the world.

March 18-24, 2012
Highland, El Paso
– Pray for us as we minister in this northeast area of El Paso, that we may continue to provide food for the many hungry persons through our Food Pantry.  And pray that we can continue to be a faithful presence as we begin our 55th year of life; that others may find their lives strengthen, their faith deepened and their lives empowered as we worship the Living God in Jesus Christ.   Amen.

March 25-31, 2012
Nazareth, San Angelo
- Please pray for the leaders and congregation of Nazareth Presbyterian Church this year.  The church is going thru difficult times, spiritually and financially.  Pray that we abide by what the Spirit of God wants for us to be in this church and in the community of San Angelo.  We are going through difficult but not impossible times to forge ahead for His sake and in His name.
