Spring Gathering
Women from the presbytery gathered on April 12 at First Presbyterian Church,
El Paso
, for the annual Spring Gathering of PW of Tres Rios Presbytery.

Willie Hall
Black’s family were special guests as we recognized and celebrated the
Barstow
congregation’s gift to the Willie Hall Black-Barstow Scholarship Fund.
Scholarships from this fund are available for seminary students.
Fall Retreat
The Tres Rios Presbyterian Women’s Fall Retreat was held at Indian Lodge
State Park, Fort Davis, Texas, on October 26 – 28: Above
and Beyond – Hearing God’s Call. More
than 45 women attended the meeting. The
agenda included leadership training, an overview of the Horizons Bible Study,
presentation of a drama based on Ruth, information about the border ministries,
and the story of the Faces of Children program.
A tea party and a star gazing party at McDonald Observatory added the
perfect touch to the retreat.

Study
The 2008-2009 Horizons Bible Study named Jubilee
is based on the Gospel of Luke and written by Dale Lindsay Morgan.
This resource is the largest selling Bible study curriculum grounded in
the Reformed tradition in the PC(
USA
) with 150,000 copies in use annually.
